Daye and Nash Foundation

Zachary Fradsham, at the youthful age of 12 years, was positively influenced by Shane Daye on the paintball field. Zach designed and printed 100 PLAY 4 DAYE stickers that began laying the groundwork for the Shane Daye and Keith Nash Memorial Foundation. Keith Nash's name was added to the memorial foundation as Shane and Keith were close friends. The families decided it was best to preserve the memory of both boys together, through the acts of the memorial foundation.

The Shane Daye and Keith Nash Memorial Foundation has been established with 4 main objectives.

1. To advance education by providing publicly available scholarships, bursaries and other forms for financial assistance for post-secondary education or sport educational programs, as a part of a school curriculum, to students residing in the Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

2. To relieve poverty by alleviating financial barriers and increasing access to participation in sport for children and youth from low-income families residing in the Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

3. To receive and maintain funds and to apply all or part of the principle and income, to qualified donees.

4. To undertake activities incidental and ancillary to the attainment of our charitable purposes.

The board members of The Shane Daye and Keith Nash Memorial Foundation vote on annual scholarships for deserving recipients who demonstrate leadership qualities. Scholarships can be used for post-secondary studies or to subsidize enrolment in sport education programs. Local sport associations are routinely selected by the board members. The local sport association can then apply the donation to subsidize registration to deserving recipients to continue active involvement in sport within the Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

The Shane Daye and Keith Nash Memorial Foundation has and will continue to provide scholarships to deserving youth residing in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
